  • Schedule: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (Full Time), 72 Hours per 2 weeks, 12 NIGHT Shift, 7pm-7am

About the Med/Surg 1 West Unit: 

We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team at Pender MedSurg (1 West) unit. This unit offers a unique small, family atmosphere, fostering close-knit relationships among staff and patients alike. Nurses here not only gain familiarity with the entire hospital but also become integral members of the community they serve. As the unit evolves to accommodate a changing patient population, nurses can learn a wide array of skills and enjoy considerable independence and autonomy in their practice. Additionally, situated in a prime location for gaining valuable experience with trauma cases, it provides an excellent opportunity for nurses to develop their skills in the Emergency Department setting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
