Overview

The Cardiovascular Data Specialist is responsible for the collection, organization, integrity, analysis and presentation of data from various repositories within cardiac services. The Cardiovascular Data Specialist will serve on various committees and Joint Practices to facilitate and drive process improvement efforts and initiatives to ensure best practice and care for the Cardiac and Vascular patients.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years clinical experience in cardiac/vascular area. Previous project management, documented process improvement training and/or UCIC experience.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN license in appropriate state or Radiological Technologist registered by ARRT Required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to maintain effective working relationship with fellow employees, patients, families and physicians; ability to facilitate team development and progress; Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency; Understanding of computer pathways and data elements; Ability to market and present statistical information in an accurate and concise manner; Knowledge of DRGs, ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes; Acute awareness of confidentiality of information collected, analyzed and presented; Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
